About VARDO

Inspired by the Vardo witch trials of the 1600’s, Vardo opens in a dirt cell where four women await execution. Four become five when their accuser finds herself awaiting the same fate.

Developmental History

Vardo was first performed at The Open Hydrant Short Play Festival in May of 2025.

Vardo was performed again in October of 2025, as part of FRIGID Theatre’s Days of the Dead Festival.
